Vet visits June 2026.

Mojo has been intermittently lame and the vet has been to see him. Flexion tests of his front positive, so Bute and turn out as he is better keeping moving.

A week late he was Ok so the vet came to see if he needed more x-rays, the new vet has seen the old x-rays and says there is no need to do them again, obviously he wont be completely sound but as long as he is pasture sound and pain free he will be OK.

The vet suggested Boswellia plus Bute if he is lame. The hard ground seems to make him worse. We have an independent nutritionist coming in a week or so to weigh and suggest supplements.

Mojo had his feet trimmed after the first vet visit and was fine.

Mojo Update

2nd November 2021

Sorry for the lack of updates, Mojo is intermittently lame still so we haven’t done much. I have taken him in the school to do some straight lines over poles and last time Liz lunged him – before the trimmer was due – we thought he was just a bit stiff but he was slightly lame still after a little trot.

Liz and I got Mojo and Smoke in yesterday, nearly fell over in the puddles. So we left them in to dry out a bit. Mojo was good with his feet, all cleaned and field paste applied. He did trot up lame on his right fore, more so when he tripped as he turned to trot towards me. He was sound when the physio came a couple of weeks ago.
